NO CODE is ready to melt your faces again!
Please join us all back on June 12 in Hoboken, at The Whiskey Bar (125 Washington Street). You’ll get your FIX of all things PJ, both new and old. As a bonus to our loyal followers, be prepared to hear some songs you’ve never heard us play before.
And if anyone is interested how Seth’s little mini-PJ-tour went, here’s a non-PJ fanview breakdown of events:
5/15: Hartford - Despite the city being a ghost town on this warm Saturday afternoon/evening, a nice tailgate ensued followed by an amazing show. Downside – broken down car at 12:30am, arrived back at Ramada Inn in Newark at 4:30am.
5/17: Boston - Car in shop for repair, while the road trip to Boston took place. Boston was the city for beer-exploration! Arrived at Sunset Grill (over 400 beers) around 2:30pm, followed by Publick House (amazing Belgian beer bar) at 5pm. Picked up tickets from a friend at 7pm, checked into Hyatt hotel (free!), went to Boston Beer Works by 7:45pm, beer was ok, lacks some flavor and gives me massive hiccups, but I enjoy show, and end up back at Beer Works after the show, to enjoy more hiccups and flavorless blueberry beer. Back at hotel by 2am, departed by 10am for Newark.
5/18: Newark – arrive at Ramada Inn at 3:30pm due to terrible traffic and rain, awaiting pickup from NO CODE’s own, Tony Petracca to play a pre-show acoustic set to benefit The Wishlist Foundation at MMM Bello’s in Newark. Pick up 10C tickets, and loyal NO CODE fan and guest musician/vocalist, Jamie Queli wins front row lottery!
Tony & Seth acoustic setlist:
Wash, Footsteps, Fatal, You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away, Black, Small Town, I Am Mine, Throw Your Arms Around Me, I Believe in Miracles, Just Breathe, Down, Unthought Known, Wishlist, State of Love and Trust, Thin Air, Porch, Yellow Ledbetter
We pack up, and Jamie makes a sign requesting “You Are” out of a NO CODE promo flyer. If you remember the show right before PJ busted into “Jersey Girl,” Eddie came out and grabbed something from the front row….the next song, after “Jersey Girl,” was, “You Are.”
Back to Ramada Inn.
5/20: NYC - Thanks to another promotion via Hyatt hotels, I was lucky enough to secure another free stay (for 2 nights) at the Hyatt Regency next to Grand Central Station. At this point my car was fixed (thanks to a busted alternator) and back in commission. Enjoyed some drinks at The Pony Bar before meeting the rest of the NO CODE loyal at the pre-party to enjoy some tour stories and drinks. After the show, I make a phone call to a very special guest who was at MSG that night, a Mr. Dave Krusen. End up meeting up with him and hanging out for a little while. Arrive back at Hyatt at an unknown time.
5/21: NYC – Start the morning off with some breakfast at the Hyatt, and wonder my way down to the village to check out some decent beer pubs. End up at Caliente Cab Co for some lunch (sure it’s a touristy Mexican place, but they make some damn good Mojitos, so shoot me!) and head over to Blind Tiger on Bleecker to meet up with an old buddy of mine (George) who I met over 11 years ago when Eddie and Pete Townshend played Letterman and The Supper Club together. Enjoyed some fine craft brews there, and headed uptown to pick up tix, and the pre-party etc. Went back to Pony Bar after the show, enjoyed some more craft brews, saw a guy smoke some crack, and ended the night at Halal Guys. If you don’t know you must. Chicken or Lamb, Platter or Sandwhich. Get extra white sauce. The red sauce is extremely spicy. As an inside joke to end up this review, all I have to say is….”CHKN!”
