Drawing inspiration from one of the most socially relevant, musically influential and commercially successful artists of the modern rock era, New Jersey’s NO CODE: The Pearl Jam Tribute have become one of the premier tribute bands in the nation in a relatively short period of time. They have demonstrated skill, passion, and extensive knowledge of Pearl Jam’s music in every live performance since forming in late 2003.

Pearl Jam fanatics evoke a degree of dedication seen historically among “Deadheads”. The community has developed a strong presence on the Web, where a significant number of knowledgeable Pearl Jam enthusiasts have hailed NO CODE as the finest emulation of the genuine article, formulating this judgment on the basis of the band’s frequent concert appearances, live MP3’s available at www.nocodejam.com, and special radio broadcasts (unsolicited airplay on 92.3 Free FM’s “Booker Show,” followed by an invitation to the New York City studio for a live acoustic performance/interview; airplay on XM’s “Opie and Anthony Show”). The buzz has contributed to NO CODE’s rising popularity, as the band regularly receives requests from fellow Pearl Jam devotees to play all corners of the country.

While delivering substantial crowds to various music clubs, NO CODE have proven their ability to replicate the sound and energy of a live Pearl Jam concert, from the first classic guitar riff to the final encore. Their goal is to redefine themselves as a regional act, if not a national act, by continually presenting memorable shows, expanding their base of support, and elevating their name recognition. To the interested venue representative, booking agent or promoter, NO CODE can offer a widely recognizable song catalog, a highly charged atmosphere, and–through a cooperative marketing strategy–an exceptional turnout.

Individual Band Member Bio’s

Tony Petracca – Lead Vocals

No Code is Tony’s first musical venture. He made a strong impression on the original members with an extensive knowledge of Pearl Jam and an uninhibited approach to the project’s most demanding role. Since the band’s 2003 debut, Tony has impressed audiences with his stage presence, witty banter and evocation of Eddie Vedder’s raw vocal style.

Seth Dolled– Rhythm Guitar, Backing Vocals

Seth’s passion for Pearl Jam can only be described as insane by his family and friends. Teaching himself to play guitar by watching tons of PJ video bootlegs in his pre-teens, he has perfectly reproduced the sounds of Mike McCready and Stone Gossard, but has been particularly driven by the grooves oriented by the latter. Matching Stone’s tone has been an exciting accomplishment, especially for the song “You Are.” With original band The Fifth (thefifthrocks.com), Seth blends a PJ influence with Zeppelin riffs, Ramones intensity and Blondie backbeats.

Rob Bland – Lead Guitar

For Rob, meeting Seth was like finding his musical counterpart, as he too honed his craft by studying an array of Pearl Jam bootlegs at a young age. Rob’s intent, however, was to emulate the style of McCready, going so far as to note the guitarist’s brand choices in gear. Rob shares McCready’s propensity to occasionally play a blind solo behind his head, which both musicians perform as a tribute to their mutual influence, Jimi Hendrix.

Jim Reed – Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals

Jim has been working as a professional bass player and audio engineer since his late teens. As a session musician he performed on radio spots and tens of studio recordings, backing up original artists and cover acts across genres ranging from jazz to hip-hop to electronic. In his earlier experience Jim claimed membership in local, regional and national bands, playing large venues, small clubs and backyards along the way. No Code’s rhythm section has benefited greatly from the addition of Jim to the band in mid-2005.

Randy Satarsky– Drums

Randy has been drumming for 30-plus years, often exploring the boundaries of rhythms. His renewed interest in the scientific approach to drumming brings a new dimension to No Code. Born in New York, Randy moved to Miami at a young age and began playing drums, ultimately joining numerous bands, performing hundreds of shows and recording dozens of albums. In 2003 he returned north to further his playing and feed his hunger to survive.
